Are you in crisis?

If you need immediate help, or if you or anyone else is in immediate danger or harm, then please call the Police or Ambulance Service on 999.

If you are feeling suicidal or like hurting yourself, and you are concerned for your safety, you need to tell a doctor how you are feeling RIGHT AWAY.  You should also contact a family member or a trusted friend, so that you won’t be alone right now.

If you would find it helpful to talk confidentially about your feelings you can contact the Samaritans on their 24 hour helpline: Tel: 116 123.

If deemed safe, you can also go to your local Accident and Emergency Departments where you will be assessed and treated by the relevant healthcare team.

If you urgently need medical help or advice out of hours but it is not a life threatening situation then you can call NHS 111.  We would also advise that you contact your own GP to make an urgent appointment.  They will be able to provide on-going treatment and support options and know where to get you the specialist help you need.
